WHY SOUTH WALES?

South Wales is hugely attractive as it is offers so much in a small geographical space. Families love the reasonably priced housing, proximity to good schools and fun attractions for the kids, along with short commutes and good transport links. Professionals are attracted to the great range of employers and new companies moving into Wales, as well as being able to live in housing that doesn’t eat up their entire monthly salary! Students love the great educational opportunities on offer along with the culture in vibrant towns and cities. Tourists are spoilt for choice with the huge range of sporting and cultural events, historical attractions, first class shopping facilities and the abundance of stunning coastline and scenery.
The South Wales property market continues to grow due to its affordability, especially with the abolition of the Severn Bridge tolls. According to Land Registry figures analysed by online estate agent housesimple.com property prices in southeast Wales have soared since it was announced in the summer of 2017 that the Severn Bridge toll would be scrapped.Further, the 20 city home price index by Hometrack (November 2018) has shown that Cardiff is one of only four cities where price growth today is higher than at the same time last year, the remaining 16 cities are all registering slower growth. Properties in Valleys towns are also expected to see increased demand due to their affordability as first homes.
